CHEITA is looking to conduct an international study tour to north-eastern USA coinciding with the EDUCAUSE 2017 Conference in Oct/Nov this year.
The EDUCAUSE conference is being held from 31 October 2017 to 3 November 2017, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – see https://events.educause.edu/annual-conference – providing the opportunity to visit premier institutions (and potentially vendor campuses) in north eastern states/cities of e.g. Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, New York, Boston etc in the days immediately after the conference close.
Depending upon interest, participants could include CIOs (and their supervisors or immediate reports) from Australia, Canada, Europe, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the USA and other countries – giving you the opportunity to make connections and broaden your network. Please note that we are looking to cap numbers at 30 in order to maximise the quality of your interactions.

The CHEITA Benchmarking Working Group was created to explore the viability of benchmarking IT in higher education on a global scale and identify a way to undertake such an initiative. The result of those efforts was the development of the CHEITA Global Complexity Index described in this paper.
Each year, during the Educause annual conference, the CHEITA group is gathered to discuss current topics from around the world. This is the case in 2015 as well.
